Meet our Corg-ingese Vera!

Fancy, funny, and full of wordliness – meet Vera, an 11-years-young Pekingese / Corgi mix who has returned to our program after 7 years away. Vera is a wonderful girl who is looking for a mellow, gentle home to fill with companionship, smiles, and tranquility. Not only does her beautiful coat and unique breed mix highlight her in our shelter, but her leash manners and calm demeanor definitely shine through.

While she is working on getting more comfortable, her ideal adults-only home could very well include another easy-going dog or cat. If you’d like to meet this gorgeous (and she knows it!) gal, come on in today!

Say “Hy!” to Hyacinth!

This sweet lady has been feeling a little blue. Somehow our visitors keep walking past her beautiful, soft fur and playful antics. She's here to say that enough is enough!

While you pass through her alley, she watches your every move for a hint that you’ll come love her. She hurries down from “hy” in her cat tree to greet you by flirtatiously flicking her fluffy tail, pressing herself provocatively against you, and rolling over to show off her big belly. Having won your heart, she indulges in your attention, getting “hy” on love. If she’s feeling HYper when you’re not about, she’ll amuse herself by chasing her toys around.

Lady Hyacinth would like to be your one and only flower, but she wouldn’t mind having kids in the house to amuse and love her. If you’re looking to cultivate your own cat garden, find out if Hyacinth will fit in your flower bed.
